I’m at the 5 yr. mark since staring my monthly free Christian paper called The Good Life and 59 yr. young! I’m wondering if God has closed all the doors right now and this is to be a slow death for the paper. With the economy I see Christians especially not supporting my paper. Holding onto their money when I believe this time (economic slowdown)will show that we were to learn to give more freely and trust in God. I’m praying I’ll get a clear answer from God on this as I’ve always said “This is God’s paper; He’s driving and I’m running to catch up!”
At any rate, I want to learn more about the computer as my paper has been a blessing to many and could continue to be read via the computer. and since I am the “Paper boy” as well,I could stop doing so much delivery-bonus!! I really enjoy reading your “reflections”
You remind me so much of my grandfather—he passed away last summer after fighting pancreatic cancer—even doing his own chemo treatments (he lived out in the middle of no-where). 92 years old, WWII veteran, survived the depression and always was inviting everyone he came in contact with to study the Bible. He impacted my life in ways he probably was totally unaware of…

I can add a bit of a postscript to my post. I’m now THE science teacher at a 3-year-old, 80-student Christian school. My four classes span 5th through 12th grades. Believe me, after teaching college students most of my life, this is a major challenge! But I’m grateful that God found this old geezer something worthwhile to do.

In spite of the above, I still wonder about the main topic of my original post.

This is Kirk from CRSnet. I can relate to this post, and I’m “only” 53. I’ve been settled in to the old work-for-a-living routine long enough that I am craving an outlet more useful (in my mind) to the promotion of God’s kingdom. Not sure how it will pan out yet, but wanted you to know you’re not alone.
